Wes Burns is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a winger for Leicester City and the Wales national team. Born in Cardiff, Burns started his career at Bristol City, progressing through the club's academy to make his debut in January 2013. During his time at Bristol City he spent time out on loan at Forest Green Rovers, Oxford United, Cheltenham Town, Fleetwood Town and Aberdeen, before joining Fleetwood Town permanently in January 2017. He spent five years at Fleetwood Town, making over one hundred and fifty appearances. He joined Ipswich Town in June 2021. Burns represented the Wales U21 national team between 2013 and 2016. He has been called up to the senior Wales squad in 2015 and 2016.
