Born in Germany, he plays for the Wales national team. After beginning his career as a youth player at Everton, Davies moved to Sheffield Wednesday in 2012 but did not make a first team appearance for them. After two years at Sheffield Wednesday, Davies signed for League One side Barnsley . On 4 October 2016, Davies was called up to the Wales national football team squad to replace the injured Danny Ward for the International Football Cup Qualififying matches against Austria and Georgia.
