Martinez releases statement to clarify outburst but does not apologise

Lisandro Martinez, the Manchester United centre-back, has addressed a recent public outburst by releasing a clarifying statement. However, the Argentina international declined to apologize, leaving questions about the context and intent behind his original comments. The incident comes during a turbulent period for Manchester United, where off-field narratives have frequently dominated headlines. Martinez's statement is unlikely to draw a line under the matter, with attention likely to remain on the defender's temperament and how the club handles the situation internally.
