PSG in contact with Parma over Juventus target Suzuki

Interest in Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki is beginning to heat up as reports in Italy claim that PSG have recently lodged an enquiry regarding the Japan international, who is also of interest to Juventus and a number of sides in the Premier League.

According to reports from various outlets, Suzuki is among Juventus’s list of potential goalkeeping recruits as Luciano Spalletti hopes to upgrade on last season’s no.1 Michele Di Gregorio.

Juventus are still holding out hope for Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa, but are also exploring possibilities surrounding Suzuki and Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario.

According to the latest updates from Gianluca Di Marzio , Juventus are ‘continuing to push’ for Suzuki, but could now face competition from PSG, who have recently been in contact with Parma to discuss the goalkeeper’s availability.

PSG’s own goalkeeping situation is not entirely settled, as it remains to be seen what the club will do with Lucas Chevalier, who struggled to impress after being brought in to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma at the Parc des Princes last summer.

Should Chevalier be allowed to leave, PSG could reportedly turn to Parma’s Suzuki as an alternative option.

Aston Villa, Leeds and Newcastle United have been mentioned as potential destinations in the Premier League by various other outlets over the last few weeks.

Reports at the beginning of July claimed that Parma were seeking a fee in the region of €30m to sell the Japan international this summer.

Juventus may lose their goalkeeper target to PSG, potentially forcing a pivot in their transfer strategy.
